Who Can Apply?
Spouses
Valid marriage certificate is required.
Children Under 18
Minor children can apply.
Parents
Can apply under certain conditions.
Sponsor (Inviting Person) Requirements
- Valid residence permit (at least 1 year)
- Sufficient income level (family support capacity)
- Suitable housing (sufficient square meters per person)
- Health insurance (including family members)
Additional Requirements for Spouse Visa (Germany)
- Language Requirement: A1 level German knowledge (Goethe, OSD, etc.)
- Marriage Certificate: Apostilled and translated
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months
- Biometric Photo: Taken within the last 6 months
Application Duration
Family reunification applications are usually completed within 3-6 months. The duration may be extended in cases of missing documents or additional review needed. Complete document preparation significantly shortens the duration.
